To apply for a Creative Industries course please take the following steps.

 

Look through the available courses Creative Industries provides.

 

Graphic Design

Visual Art

Music

Theatre Arts

Choose application procedure, apply through VTAC or apply through Direct Offer / Mid Year intake.

 

Option 1: Apply Through VTAC

Entry to full time study is available through VTAC. Go to http://www.vtac.edu.au to fill in an interview application for one of the courses listed in Step 1.


Closing dates for VTAC Applications 2010 are as follows:

 

  • Timely Application: 30 SEPTEMBER 2010
  • Late Application: 12 NOVEMBER 2010 (late fees may apply, check with VTAC for more information)
  • Very Late Application: 10 DECEMBER 2010 (late fees may apply, check with VTAC for more information)

 

Option 2: Apply through Direct Offer or Mid Year intake

Some Creative Industries courses available provide Direct Offer and Mid Year intake applications that don't require you to apply through VTAC.

 

Please refer to the individual courses listed in Step 1 for more information about Direct Offer / Mid Year applications.

 

Once you have completed the VTAC application form or the Direct Offer / Mid Year application you must check to make sure you have completed the other course specific requirements, such as:

 

Graphic Design

  • Check course folio requirements - refer to course in Step 1 for details.

Visual Art

  • Check course folio requirements - refer to course in Step 1 for details.

Games Development

  • Check course folio requirements - refer to course in Step 1 for details.
  • Book your interview time with Creative Industries by calling (03) 9919 1583 or emailing ci@vu.edu.au with your details.

Digital Media

  • Check course folio requirements - refer to course in Step 1 for details.
  • Book your interview time with Creative Industries by calling (03) 9919 1583 or emailing ci@vu.edu.au with your details.

Web & Digital Media

  • Check course folio requirements - refer to course in Step 1 for details.

Video & Motion Graphics

  • Check course folio requirements - refer to course in Step 1 for details.

Professional Writing and Editing

  • Applicants to Professional Writing & Editing need to submit a folio of 1000-1500 words of writing with their application - refer to course in Step 1 for details.
  • Book your interview time with Creative Industries by calling (03) 9919 1583 or emailing ci@vu.edu.au with your details.

Music

  • Check course interview requirements - refer to course in Step 1 for details.
  • Ring the music department and book for an interview on (03) 9919 3204.

Theatre Arts

  • View the 'Theatre Arts Selection Day' flyer - refer to course in Step 1 for details.
  • Email the Performance department to register to attend a selection day perform@vu.edu.au.
  • Attend the selection day.
