Our Diploma course
provides you with the advanced skills required to
familiarise yourself in the selected area of study and to
consolidate the basic skills in the various areas of specialisation. Entry
into the Diploma course requires satisfactory completion of a
Certificate IV course (or equivalent) in the
appropriate field of study.
Diploma of Music Industry (Technical Production)
Our Diploma of Music Industry (Technical
Production) CUS50201 course aims to provide
students with a wide range of skills necessary
for successful participation in the music
industry, including live sound, studio
engineering, audio post-production, multimedia,
the Internet, music analysis, small business
management and working in teams. Students have
access to excellent facilities, including a
state of the art computer lab and seven industry
standard studios - all available for use after
hours.

The Diploma course
is delivered at the Sunbury campus.
Opportunities for further study
Articulation pathways exist from the Diploma programs into the
final two years
of Victoria University's Bachelor
of Music courses.
How long is the course?
The Diploma course
is offered on a full time
basis over 1 year.
How much are the fees?
You will only pay TAFE fees for the Certificate IV and Diploma courses - in other words,
you will not pay the HECS Higher Education Fee. As a guide, our fees in
2008 were around $1100. These fees are subject to change. Please

are extra - expect to pay approximately $200. Fee exemptions and concessions
are available depending on
eligibility.
