Professional Writing and Editing

Graduates of Professional Writing & Editing (TAFE) from Victoria University have gone on to careers in journalism, publishing, public relations, freelance writing, editing, fiction writing, and media areas such as television and radio.

Our students are a mix of school leavers and mature age. The course allows for and encourages you to explore a range of writing genres and types, so that you learn skills and techniques for all aspects of the writing, editing and publishing industries.

We welcome students who may be looking for a career change, publication, new career opportunities or simply the opportunity to workshop and present their writing in a professional arena as they work towards publication.

Full-time and part-time study are offered in face-to-face classes, and from mid-2007 some on-line study will also be offered.
