Projects
We are continuing to focus on project work, to enable our students to get experience in presenting their writing to the world. For example, we produce recordings for VU Radio; write plays for Sunshine Community Theatre’s season of Virgin Flights; produce a yearly anthology of student work; write, edit and produce a professional magazine Lizard; and perform poetry, comedy and fiction readings at our annual Students’ Night.
Our subjects are delivered in face-to-face classroom sessions, in which students learn principles of writing and then apply them to their own writing practice, whether this is in their playscripts, news reports and feature articles, novel chapters or poems. Students also learn about the publishing industry and skills required in a whole range of writing workplaces.
Online study
From 2008, some subjects will be offered for on-line study. Stay in touch with Subjects on our web site for more information over coming months.
