Learn to draw the human body

Time: Fridays 4.00pm - 6.00pm (15 classes)
Location: Level 17, 300 Flinders St (right opposite Flinders St Station)
Dates: 18 July - 7 November
Overview: This course is designed for people with little experience to develop basic life drawing skills . It focuses on developing the ability to draw the human body convincingly from observation.
Materials: Willow Charcoal, a kneadable rubber, large cartridge and/or butcher paper and two bull dog clips.
Content :
This course consists of two sections:
1. General Drawing: The introduction of general drawing skills and qualities specifically related to life drawing. These include
- the use of contour
- space
- volume
- foreshortening
- light and dark
- the use of planes
2. Artistic Anatomy: An introduction to artistic anatomy and various drawings strategies aimed at facilitating the drawing of body parts and details.
